I am wondering if a staph infection (that may have been present for several years) can cause swollen lymph nodes and other symptoms like fatigue and dizziness?
thanks for any help. |

I don't have a medical explanation for you- but I've been feeling much the same way. I figure I've had this Staph Infection for around a year now, and I've suffered from extreme fatigue, vertigo/dizziness, and overall feeling terrible. Not all the time per se, but certainly periodically for 1-2 weeks at a time. Earlier this year I had a swollen lymph node behind my right ear and down a little that was so large and painful I feared it may have been a tumor. At first I thought I had slept funny and pulled a muscle- but after a week without it really subsiding, I figured something was up. I had other symptoms too, including the fatigue and overall feeling of 'blah'. After a while it began clearing up on it's own, granted with the help of Vitamin C, Polysporin on the lump itself, etc.
I hope that helps- even though you posted months ago. I'm feeling many of the same symptoms now- especially the fatigue. I'm on strong antibiotics (Cephalexin 4x a day for 2 weeks) and while the infection seems to be clearing, I can still feel the infection under my skin and still feel terrible. I'm 95% sure that the infection will flare up again even after this medication is complete. |
