I have been having brown stringy discharge for 4 months.

Okay, here's the deal. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex a few times at least 5 months ago. I am on birth control so I wasn't too worried. But, I have been having brown stringy discharge for the past 4 months and this "period" has been coming 2 days later than it should. Should I still be getting these mini-periods if I'm pregnant? They only last 3 to 4 days. I'm pretty scared right now so any advice would be amazing.
