I have red bumps or small pimples on my vaginal area/pubic area. Im too nervous and embarrased to tell anybody about it. I am 15 and have never had sex, So im absolutely certain it's no STI. But Im still really scared.
I noticed one, and I pushed it and squeezed it around a bit, and after I did this it started hurting and I instantly knew I made a mistake. I left it and it stopped hurting, and gradually went away. Since then I've had approximately 6 come up, and Im really scared.
I don't know what to do. Can anybody help me, telling me what they are and how to help get them to go. Please? Im really freaked.
Thankyou, and please reply ASAP. |

This is called folliculitis. These commonly occur when a person shaves the pubic hair, which can cause bacteria to grow in the follicles, or from chafing. It usually doesn't occur from anything else. If you shave, I strongly suggest you stop. If you don't, try cutting (very carefully!) the hairs down and see if it gets better.
If it doesn't get better, see a doctor. In that case, it may need some treatment for infection. |
