There is always a change of becoming pregnant when you have sex. Some women spot or do bleed when they first become pregnant as well. This is normal for the most part as long as you are not bleeding super heavy, clotting or having severe abdominal pain. When I worked for Ob/Gyn in a major hospital here in California, we ALWAYS went by the first day of your last NORMAL period. Example...if your last period was not normal for you IE, lighter than usual, shorter than usual, etc, we went by that as your first day. Your best bet is to take a HPT when you miss your period and if anything comes up, please see your doctor!
