Hi, you need to work on your self-control. You must accept that you can’t control everything, and if you are arguing with mother, you still don’t have to lose control. Try to learn when you are about to start behaving self-destructive, addictive, obsessive, compulsive. You can prevent losing control in this moment, by saying to yourself you will not repeat the same mistake again. Once you gain a sense of personal mastery, autonomy you will be feeling much better about your own life.

What sort of mood were you in when you "lost control"? This is very important.
Stressed/depressed/anxious/irritable etc.
Yes, you must control the emotions as you realise yourself, but you must also work out why you initially lost control.
If you do this, then hopefully you can talk to your mother about it, as she will also have her faults.
It is a two way process. |
