I'm scared and I don't know anything about the lump

Hey everybody....My name is Chace and I am 14. I noticed two weeks ago that there was a lump on the top of my right testicle. This followed after a day of pain and sensitivity to the my right testicle. I had just started these hard, body-building form running excersizes in my gym class. I heard that that could be a cause. At this point I'm just annoyed. I noticed two nights ago that the lump could be seen protruding from my scrotum without any assistance from me. But the good thing is is that I feel no pain whatsoever, unless I put too much pressure on the testicle while examining it. I have not had intercourse so that can't be a cause.
I am freaked out! I heard that a cause could be testicular cancer but I pray that that's not the case. I am very paniced (spelling I know). And another problem is that I fear a doctor who is a complete stranger to me to look at my testicles. I am one of those "shy guys." I can't even build up the courage to go to my parents. I need some expert advice. Will someone PLEASE help me?!
