I'm scheduled for hysterectomy! Any words of wisdom?

I知 46 and am scheduled for hysterectomy. I値l have the operation in three weeks. I was diagnosed tumour in muscle tissue that is making pressure and causing damage in there. I suffered terrible pain and hope that this will give me relief. But am very scared. Any words of wisdom?

The greatest wisdom is that you値l have tumour removed and will be pain free. Recovery period after hysterectomy is 2-5 weeks, which is really not that long. It may depend on type of surgery. You also didn稚 mention if you値l have ovaries removed too or only uterus. I had hysterectomy 3 years ago and am happy that something like that is possible to save our health and lives.
