I had a LEEP proceger done mid August to remove abnormal cells. I returned to the doctor for a check up and the doctor said I had been healing very well and could go ahead and have protected sex with my boyfriend and also go ahead with the use of tampons if I wanted untill my next follow up pap in 4 months.
I only had bleeding for about 3-4 days and hardly any cramps after the LEEP. I had about 2 days of no bleeding and then got my period which lasted about 5 days. It finished just in time for the two week follow up. That was when the doctor said everything had been healing great.
I had stopped taking my pills (Mercet) a week prior to the Leep because I felt that the hormones in the pill could have contributed to the abnormal cells on my cervix. When I had gone in for the proceger my doctor assured me that the pill did not contribute to the abnormal cells. So when i started my period 4 days later, I started a new the next Sunday. I finished the pack of pills and instead of taking the sugar pills I continued to another pack in order to skip my period so I didn't have it for a trip I was going on. I got my period any way. I continued to still take the pills. I have been bleeding ever since. Some days lighter than others but never heavy. I finished this last pack 2 days ago. Bleeding or spotting for about 20 days now. What did I do to myself??
