Hi, I am writing this because I think that there is something wrong with my dad. I work out of country and only get to be home once a year. During the course of the last four years I have noticed some changes, and now they seem to be quite serious.
I will try to make this short:
1. He is stubborn & full of pride - therefore he doesn't tell us anything regarding questions to his health - I don't know what he tells his doc
2. His stomach is really distended - more now than ever. I was home 5 months ago, and he even has 'protrusion' on the side. Its feels hard.
3. My mom told me tonight that he has a whole in his stomach?
4. His appetite has seemed to change drastically - once a steak and potatoes man, and I mean lots of each, during my last visit, he could not even finish a small piece...not that I want him to be eating that...but due to years of that diet, he is not quick to join the fruit and veggie team.
I don't know, and am pretty scared of the possibility of cirrhosis, or worse, a tumor. I don't want to hear bad news, but I am also at a loss, as I am trying to gather as much information as I can for my mom to get her to force my father in for tests. Just looking for any possible explanations.
