Hi. I am 62 years old and I am homebound. I need some answers from caregivers. Who is eligible for home care services? What kind of a service can I get? What kind of a home care help can I get?

Hi. I am a caregiver for 10 years now. Your doctor will decide if you need medical care in the home. If you are homebound you may be eligible for home health care services. There are many services available for you, such as meals, home care and modification, hospice care, counseling, support groups, cleaning and yard work, day care, and transportation. You have 2 kinds of home care - home health care (medicine assistance, nursing and physical therapy) and non-medical home care services (housekeeping and cooking).
