I need to take Hepsera for 1 year! Why?

Hello! It is found that I have chronic hepatitis B. Doctor told me that I need to take Hepsera for one year. Why? To be honest with you, nothing of this is rational to me. He prescribed me 100 mg per a day. I think that this is too much. What is your opinion about this? Thank you!

Hello! Well, I can tell you that Hepsera is usually prescribed for a year minimum. I know for some cases when people take this drug longer then a year. Dose of 100 mg per a day is usual dose, too. You will need to take this drug exactly as it is prescribed if you want to be cured. I know that this is difficult time for you, but you must be strong.
