I only have 4 inactive pills in my birth control pack

I went to get birth control pills from my GYN and she gave me Yaz. She never explained how to use the trial pack she gave me. I opened it and realized that there were only four inactive pills instead of seven. There are 28 pills total but I am not sure when to start taking the active pills or the inactive pills. The instructions said to start taking the active pills during the first 24 of my period (which doesn't make any sense). I tried calling my GYN to ask but her office was closed. My period just started today. Please help!

YAZ is one of new pills which has a shorter 'period'.

You start the pills like you would start any other pill package, and you finish just like any other pill.

THE ONLY difference is a shorter period!

Start the pills today and you are protected immediately.
