I think I may have strep throat and I am breastfeeding a 4 month old. Is it possible that I may give it to him? Should I be worried about being around him?

You'll give the baby antibodies thru the breastmilk, but wash hands very well all the time and seek treatment for yourself. The antibodies won't necessarily prevent the baby from catching it. But it's even better to be breastfeeding, as whether you are or not, your baby is still prone to catch it. Good hygene.

Usually isn't the worse thing in the world, but prompt attention and treatment if the baby seems to be coming down w/it, be sure to let the doc know and they'll test even if symptoms aren't bad yet. Catch it early and baby will bounce right back.
