I think there is something stuck in my throat, what could it be?

Last year, i had this feeling that i had something stuck in the back of my throat, it felt like it was connected to my nasal passage, i used nose drops and it went away within weeks.

Two days ago, i've started to get this feeling back but alot worse, it feels like it's stuck to the back of my nasal passage, seems to be always dry and annoys the hell out of me, i can hardly sleep because of the annoyance, i don't currently take any nose drops atm, should i ask my doctor to go back on the nose drops or could this be something else? seeing as it is double worse this time and can anybody tell me what exactly this is? the doctor never explained too me!

Thanks.. it's really annoying so would like a quick answer from somebody who has had the same thing or knows about this!

EDIT: Also, the reason the doctor gave me nose drops last time is because i had a blocked up nose (not from a cold.. but from something the same my mother suffers with, something to do with my sinuses!) and it got rid of both.. but this time i have no blocked up nose =[

EDIT 2: It doesn't hurt btw, i can swallow food/drink fine without anything happening, it never seems to go away though, it seems to only come back at night time too, it's never actually there in the day, it feels like it's tickling the back of my throat but it's hanging onto the end of my nasal passage!
