I am 16 years old. I have never used tampons because I have some doubts. Maybe it will sound funny but I am worried that that tampon will get stuck in my body and stay there. I am worried that the withdrawal string will break. Can someone tell me if my doubts are for a reason?

Like many other women who have not used tampons before, you have your doubts. Also, I can notice that you have some basic misconception when it comes to use of tampon. The tampon can't get lost in your vagina because the opening at the end of your vagina is only the size of a pencil point. The tampon is held in place by the walls of your vagina until you pull on the cord to remove it, and that is why it cannot get "stuck" inside you. After you insert tampon, the constricting muscles at the vaginal opening will hold it in place. It will stay there until you remove it by gently pulling on the withdrawal cord. If you feel resistance when you pull on the withdrawal cord, try to relax. The withdrawal string breaking is an extremely rare occurrence and if it does break, you can reach the tampon with your fingers. Use the same position you used to comfortably insert the tampon to remove it. If you are unable to do this, you should see your doctor the same day.
etc.
