I have had an infection of impetago in my nasal passages for several months. I have tried every natural and allopathic remedy available so far, including two rounds of anti-biotics. At first, the infection appears to be clearing up immediately, but then, within a few days, sometimes even while I am taking the oral anti-biotic, it starts to come back.

I have been using a topical anti-biotic creame and this keeps it at bay, bur as soon as I stop, it comes back.

Could there be some source of contagion in my environment which is reinfecting me? Could my pets have anything to do with this (I called the vet, as my one cat also has little encrustations around his nose--the vet said no).

I am getting very worried. Any help would be appreciated.
