I had implantation spotting at 2.5 days. It lasted for 2 days.
So it can happen. |

|
|
I had very light bleeding for about 3 to 4 hours only 2 days after ovulation.
After that it stopped.
One more thing I realized ovulation(egg white like substance coming out)
while I had sex on the day of ovulation.
Is it implantation bleeding,If not what is that ?
Is it a problem ?Do I need to consult doctor ?
Or should I wait till my next period ?
Is there any chance for PG ? |

|

| Yes, it IS possible to be pregnant only a few days after ovulation. I got a positive LH surge on Day 11 using my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor so I most likely ovulated that day or Day 12. On the evening of Day 15 I starrted having very light spotting(very unusual for me) and got a blood test done by my OBGYN on Day 17. The blood test confirmed an early pregnancy. So it is possible to be pregnant in less than the typical 7-12 day implantation period. I am still bleeding lightly (7 days now) so it may or may not end in m/c. If you spot midcycle, esp. if that is unusual for you, it's worth getting a pregnancy blood test at your OBGYN office. Home-pregnancy tests will not be able to detect a pregnancy that early. Good luck to all of you TTC! |

Ladies - sorry to butt in (and I agree this is for support and there is NO need for rudeness). Wild Orchard...while yes, Implantation Bleeding in not the "norm" there are different bodies of research that argue it happens in 20-30% of women (that's the newer research). Older research suggests that it only happens in about 1-3%. The issue is that it can often go unoticed AND it is often mistaken as a period and therefore is never reported as IB.
If you read any of the sites that list TTC sucess stories a good amount of the women say that they experienced some very light spotting around 7-11 DPO. Also, if you think about what is happening in the Uterus during implantation it all seems very normal to have a little bit of scant bleeding.
Finally, just becuase you did not experience and your doctor doesn't really believe in it certainly does mean anything....MANY doctors have different opinions and pregnancy experience are different not only from woman to woman but from pregnancy to pregnancy!
Good luck to everyone and baby dust to all! |

|
| I know the original post is old, but for those still looking for info I want to say this. I had implantation bleeding 2 dpo, but turned out to be ectopic (didn't find that out until I was 6 weeks and it ruptured). I only knew it was implantation spotting in retrospect. So, while 7-10 days is the NORM for an egg to implant, and it's possible that it CAN occur earlier, and it's also possible that early implantation bleeding is a sign of a problem. I'm not trying to scare anyone, just sharing what happened to me. I tested positive at 7dpo, which was another red flag, but I ignored that too thinking I just had my dates off. With my first 2 pregnancies, I had no implantation bleeding and didn't get a +hpt until 11 dpo. |

You doctor did a test at 5 dpo? Why would you waste money on that? And why would your doctor agree to that? There is no reason for that. Shame on you for abusing the healthcare system like that. |
