Implantation bleeding or just an irregular cycle??

Ok, here goes. I had sex on the 5th of this month. I was still on my period. The man wore a condom and even withdrew his penis from me before ejaculating to ensure extra precaution. I started my period again on the 20th of this month. I experienced some of my usual pre-menstrual symptoms such as minor cramping and getting a small pimple or two on my face. At first the flow of blood looked normal to me. Crimson and moderate to heavy flow. However over the past day or two the flow seemed lighter. When I woke up and pulled the tampon out yesterday morning to change it, the blood was brownish and so I obviously had a mini panic attack Embarassed

and gathered my money and drove at record breaking speed to the CVS at the end of the road and purchased an EPT pregnancy test. I got back to the house and took it and it came out negative. So then after jumping around like a crazed idiot in circles and thanking a wide spectrum of deities I began to once again start thinking and over-analyzing the situation,even though the test was a big NEGATIVE sign. I still continue to be paranoid. Could the brown blood be implantation bleeding?? After this morning, the colour of the blood was back to it's red tone, but still a slight bit lighter in flow than usual. I am VERY cautious when it comes to intercourse. Can a pregnancy test detect accurately 20 days after the sex has occured?? Any advice or help please. Sad

Okay I really enoyed your post! It made me chuckle because I have been there and I know the whole bit that you did. I think that you are okay though. You probably are just having one of those "your body is deciding to change on you" cycles. I would put it out of your head and just wait until next month then if you miss your cycle you can panic and do another test but until that happens I wouldn't stress about it! Laughing
