Implantation spotting at 5 DPO but neg PG test 3 days before due

I have been on Clomid for the past two cycles. The first IUI failed. We just had the second IUI 4/27. I experienced implantation spotting (brown) 5 days later on 5/1. I also had some mild cramping. My doctor confirmed that it was probably implantation spotting. I'm due for my period 5/9. I still feel cramping at times. I tested this morning 5/7 with First Response and got a BFN. I know I tested early but I figured since it seems that implantation happened 6 days ago (if I am PG) my HCG levels would be detectable by now. Should they be detectable 6 days after implantation spotting? Do I still have some hope this month?

You do still have hope....I know those tests say that 80-90% of women will get an accurate result in these days before cycle but this isn't always the case.. Everyone is different- specially if this is your first pregnany the hormones tend to take a little longer to build up for some reason... With my first child I even had a negative blood test 3 days before my period was due but on the day of my missed period it was positive (and so was HPT) BUT they were both faint positives...but positives no less. Your hormones double every other day when pregnant...so if you don't start your period in 48 hrs take another test---
DId you use the first of the morning urine with your last test BTW? If you are going to test early its always best to use the first of the morning urine
Even use this on the missed period day too if you can...it will just increase your chances of getting an accurate result
