I have been reading alot about the timing of implantation and it is leading to much confusion and frustration. Does implantation begin 3 to 6 dpo or 6 to 12 days dpo or 3 to 12 days dpo???

Almost everything I have read indictates that it is 6-10dpo, with the majority taking place at 8-9 dpo

I think it is important to point out that implantation can happen a few days earlier or later than these timeframes, which helps to add to the confusion.

For example: I charted for 4 consecutive cycles while TTC #1. On the 5th cycle, my OB/GYN confirmed that I, in fact, experienced an implantation dip at 6 DPO. I got a FAINT + HPT at 12 DPO and my LP's at that time were 15-16 days...so I got a + 3 days before my missed period.

I have heard a wider range of more like 3-12, although the numbers cited above are more within the "normal" or more frequently experienced range.
