I am having some horrible mood swings. I am depressed, irritable, moody, lost my desire to do ANYTHING, and am eating lots. I went to the doctor last week Friday because I got to the point that I was even feeling suicidal. She put me on welbutrin and that was that. Last weekend I almost left my husband. He is such a fantastic man and I am getting snappy with him daily and the littlest thing is making me snap. In the mean time, this past week I have been getting hot flashes on top of everything else. When I saw the doctor I mentioned to her that I though I might even be going through menopause. She asked if I still had my period and when I said yes she said that was not the case. Some background information that I gave her:
I am 45 years old. (I know you will want to know this)
I quit smoking a month ago today with the help of chantex. I had to quit taking the chantex after 17 days because it was really, really wearing me down to the point I would go to bed at 7P.M. (I normally go to bed at 10P.M.) and wake up for work in the morning still so tired it was hard to function.
I have another appointment with another doctor on Tuesday the 20th. Today I feel like taking a double dose of the welbutrin to help get me through until Tuesday but I am trying to deal with this myself the best I can. If I try talking to my husband about this I just get frustrated with him (even though he is talking nicely to me) I dont feel like I can talk to my mother since it seems like she has went through menopause ever since I have known her so she probably does not know anyways. I cant talk to my older sister since she has always been on antidepressant, and alcoholic, bi polar and probably could not tell me anyways. And the worst part, I feel I have no friends that I can talk to. So I am on my own with this and was hoping that you could let me know what MAY be going on until I get to the doctor on Tuesday.
