Indocin for lupus

I am on corticosteroids, chloroquine and some other immune modulating drugs which I can not spell. Now my doctor thinks that I need Indocin for lupus. I am not sure why is that needed if I am not in pain. According to my knowledge, Indocin is a pain killer. Why must I use Indocin?

Indocin is used as pain killer, but it can also be used for inflammation. If you have some of the following conditions Indocin may help you: fevers, headache, muscle aches, malaise, arthritis, serositis, etc. Indocin is anti-inflammatory non steroidal drug and can reduce swelling and inflammation. In your condition you may have problems with inflammation and swelling in joints.
