Hi, can anyone tell me more about injections for erectile dysfunction. How do they work? Can they be overused and induce any side effects?

Hi, there are self-injections, which are applied for avoiding systemic action of the drug. The medication is injected through the side of the penis, and an erection begins in to 15 minutes. Drugs such as Caverject, Edex, and Regitine produce results similar to Viagra, with very small risk for heart side effects. The erection lasts from 30 minutes to several hours. The self-injection shouldn’t be used more than once every 4 to 7 days. Reported side effects are infection and bleeding at the injection site, dizziness, heart palpitations, blood pressure oscillations and flushing.
