Insomnia

Anyone have any good recommendations for insomnia?

My doctor gave me some samples of Lunesta to try but I am very leery of taking them since I have heard many stories about Ambian and Lunesta causing people to do weird things that they do not remember.

I take Neurontin for nerve pain and it makes me sleep wonderfully but I am trying to go off of the Neurontin because it has caused me to gain 14lbs in the last 3 months and my hair is thinning very much on top from it and I am only 32yrs old female. I really think I could manage my nerve pain but I really need to sleep better at night. It makes a world of difference for functioning daily as an employee and mom at home.

I have tried types such as Tylenol PM and Advil PM and they dont do anything for me but keep me awake more. I have also tried Requip and Lyrica also and they make me bounce off the walls too. I seem to be highly sensitive to drugs compared to what most people experience. So far only Neurontin works for my insomnia.
