Hi, I am interested in buying an insulin pump. A friend told me that it has many benefits and that it’s much better from medicines. Is it true? How is it used?

Hi, my mother uses insulin pump for six months now, and I noticed how much it helped her. Her lifestyle has changed, it doesn’t depend on insulin any more. She is much more relaxed, and what is most important, she doesn’t have severe low blood glucose episodes any more. Every tike when she eats carbs, the pump gives her additional insulin. However, it has some disadvantages too. For example, she gained her weight and has to disconnect it every time when she swims or showers. It is also very expensive, and many diabetics can’t afford it. I recommend you to get this pump, because it will improve your quality of life.
