I've been extremely anemic before, and am currently taking iron IVs since the pills were making me so sick. But today I had a horrible reaction to the IV and got really sick and had to get a huge dose of vicodin and zofran because I felt so horrible. They say they're not sure if I'll be able to get an iron IV again. Is it possible to just be allergic to iron? I can't see how that would be, but at the same time it seems my body always has adverse reactions to any form of iron.
