My sister is 44 years old and had an ultrasound with the impression being irregular lobulated thyroid gland bilaterally with extensive cystic degeneration and heterogeneous tissue. Findings indicate advanced multinodular thyroid disease. What does this mean? She has an appt with an endocronologist, her gynocologist was freaked out and told her to get in as soon as possible.
