I started my period at age 10. It was very heavy for years and lasted 7 days at a time. At age 15 - 17, I was on birth control. I had some spotting problems but no big deal. After that, I began to get short 2-3 day periods which were usually light.
When I was 21, I had a miscarriage and since then (I am now 24), I have had irregular periods. They would every 2 - 3 months for a few days. Sometimes they would be light, sometimes heavy. They would just vary all the time. In the last 6 months or so, I have been getting them about every 30-45 days, but sometimes they are just so heavy and clotting. For the last 6 weeks, it has not stopped. The first two weeks I spotted. Then for the last 4 weeks I have been bleeding going from light to heavy but not actually stopping.
Has anyone else had a problem like this or know what could be wrong, if anything. I have a pap scheduled but I had to reschedule due to this and have one coming up this week. |
