Is Aspirin to blame for my bleeding gums?

I have to admit that I never though that simple cold could get complicated this much. First, it is not passing, even after 10 days. And now I also have to deal with bleeding gums. A friend suggested that some meds might cause that. Could aspirin be blamed for my bleeding gums and is that something dangerous?

I have also heard that some medications might be blamed for bleeding gums problem. And aspirin belongs to that group. I think that aspirin alone is not that dangerous, but combined with some other medications, might cause some complications. So a good idea would be to go to a doctor, at least check that cold, it might be something a bit more serious.
