Is Cortizone injections worth it?

I am 31 years old and I am suffering of a deep inflamation in my right shoulder. Before 2 years I had a muscle injury when swimming. I did not treat right away sadly and now I have a permanent small pain when training.

I have tried everything physiotherapy, medicine but nothing has helped. The doctor told me that a 1-2 Cortizone injections would help alot but my physio disagrees telling me that Cortizone is bad for the body and it will weaken the tentont later in my life...

Anybody knows anything about Cortizone please help....

Hi i read your post and i had my first injection today in my foot. I found it to be extremely painful as you are unable to even touch that foot and both the freezing and cortizone then was not a pleasant feeling but its over quickly. I found you get so many answers from experts and they all vary so you have to decide for yourself how severe the pain is and decide for yourself what route you want to go. I exhausted all other treatments first before accepting the shot....... good luck
