Is Ichthyosis anything like Keratosis Pilaris?

I heard that my little nephew has Ichthyosis. I’m not sure that I know what it is exactly. Only I know is that Ichthyosis is some kind of skin disorder. My friend has Keratosis Pilaris. Now I’m wondering Is Ichthyosis anything like Keratosis Pilaris? Anybody who can explain this to me?

Well, both of them, Ichthyosis and Keratosis Pilaris, are skin disorders, but they have many differences. Ichthyosis is a skin disorder which causes the formation of dry skin when skin looks like fish and Keratosis pilaris causes small, acne-like bumps on the skin. Of course, they are treated in different ways. But both of them are inherited.
