| My mother has heart problems. Those are shown with often arrhythmias, heartbeat skipping, sweating, weakness Her diagnose is atrium fibrillation. For a long time she has been taking Digoxin which helped her a lot. On the last check up, she was prescribed with Lanoxin. Is Lanoxin a substitute for digoxin? |

| Lanoxin, its generic name is digoxin. It is not a substitute, it is the same medication. So, this should clear all your worries. Be at ease, your mother is taking the same drug as before, the one that dealt effectively with her condition. Just be aware, she must take it as doctor said, otherwise, it could cause even more heart problems. |
