Can you help me out here with my dilemma? My kid is supposed to get his MMR vaccine shot and I am actually doubtful about the entire effectiveness of that thing. And yes, I am talking about all those cases of autism that occurred after the kids have been given that vaccine. Is MMR really necessary?

Well, if it is not, it wouldn’t have been given for all that time, in spite of the rumors that were never backed with hard evidence. Unfortunately, there have been some cases of the sudden autism cases, but as I said, no proof had been discovered yet. And the benefits of that vaccine are simply immense.
