Is MRi always correct? My grandmother had operation because had stones in gallbladder. Her liver was affected too and tissue was taken for a biopsy. Doctor suspects that she may have cancer. Next she has to do is MRI to make the diagnosis if there is cancer in liver or not.

MRi is usually correct, actually it can be said that it is always correct. MRI is performed to help doctor make right diagnosis and decide whether operation would be from help and how successful it would have chances to be. So, MRI image is correct but it is needed to be ‘read’ correctly. After that, operation can be scheduled or chemo, depending on diagnosis and the stage and nature of the disease. Hope that helped and wish you luck.
