Is Methotrexate allowed by FDA?

I am suffering from psoriasis. Lately, changes on my skin became visible and had expanded. Beside that, I have changes on internal organs, I am very scared because I take so many medications and I am not so sure of their benefit. For my health, I take Methotrexate. Is Methotrexate allowed by FDA?

Methotrexate is allowed by FDA. It is a drug that is an antagonist of folic acid. It inhibits the synthesis of nucleic acid. It is primarily used in dealing with tumor, but it has shown great effects in dealing with severe forms of psoriasis. It can help you a lot, but it does have some serious side effects, such as depression of bone marrow and alopecia.
