I have blood pressure 150/100. This means I have high blood pressure right? What does high blood pressure mean?

Hey there, high blood pressure is above 140/90 (or higher) and yes, you have high blood pressure. (Normal is around 120/80)
With high blood pressure the heart works harder and your arteries take a beating. Chances for heart attack, stroke, and kidney problem are bigger.
It is important to say that if you are smoking, you should stop immediately. Cigarettes narrow arteries, which additionally makes your blood pressure higher (the same is with coffee).
Some cases of high blood pressure run in family (as is case in my family), but I must say that excessive high blood pressure is a result of a life style.
