Unfortunately, I have to deal with one more thing now. I am 54 years old and have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I have started the treatment and will have to start a new one concerning my problems with stomach acid. Is Pantoprazole sodium effective treatment of symptoms associated with erosive GERD?

That medication belongs to a group of proton pump inhibitors and as such, should be quite effective, when it comes to erosive esophagitis. It helps with that severe inflammation of the stomach passage and will help you. After that, it might be used for prevention of further relapses. It is also used for some other conditions, such as Zollinger – Ellison syndrome.
