Is Pleurisy viral condition?

Hello. My uncle has been diagnosed pleurisy and my mother wants to visit him. I am not sure whether to visit him. I wonder if pleurisy is a viral condition or not. Is there a possibility of transmitting this infection to other people. I would like to thank to all those who reply to my post.
