Posted: 10/14/05 - 02:00 Post subject: Is Severe Dizziness Asociated With Hbp? *urgent*
Hello. I'm 45 year old female and I'm pretty scared about the things that are happening to me. For almost two months now I'm suffering from constant dizziness and I don’t know what to do about this.
It first begun like some mild dizzy feelings but with time the symptoms get worse and worse. Yesterday I almost fainted.
I have a long history of high blood pressure and I think this could be a problem although I'm drinking medications for it.
Please tell me, is severe dizziness associated with high blood pressure and what else could be the cause of my problem?
Thanks!
Hello. I understand you’re worried and I will try to help you with everything I know about this specific subject. You shouldn’t worry that much because most causes of dizziness are not serious and either quickly resolve on their own or are easily treated.
Answer on your question is Yes- dizziness is most common symptoms with people who suffer from high blood pressure. When there is less blood in the circulation then there should be- less blood returns to your heart and less is pumped out which means a reduction in the amount of blood going to your brain. This causes symptoms of dizziness and some people may faint. There are also some other conditions that could cause you this dizzy feelings such as impacted inner ear, vestibular neuronitis, Meniere's disease and several others… Talk with your GP about this!
