I have been having heart issues for a long time. After many medications that did not help much, I have had an open heart surgery (double bypass has been installed), Now I am ok, but doctor is worried about the possibility of accelerated arteriosclerosis and recommended me to go for angiography. Is that procedure safe after open heart surgery?
I think that it should be safe because there are no contra indications for it. And your doctor said that it is necessary because of the possibility of further heart problems. And you do know that it is done with a catheter put inside femoral artery. From there, it goes to heart and takes pictures of the situation in coronary arteries, how obstructed they are.
