Is any research being done about ALS? I cannot live with the fact that my husband will become most helpless in couple of years and eventually die. He is 50 years old, I know he is not young, but I could also say that he is in his best years now! Will medicine give him and me any hope?

Some say that hope dies last, but I like to say that it never dies. Modern medicine is making daily progress in many fields of research. Efforts and studies are also made in the ALS area, but for now, without any hard proof of positive discoveries. Still, the fact that doctors are trying says to us that one day the cure will be found. All that is left to us is to prey it happens soon.
