Hi. Until recently I experienced no major health problems. I hardly went to hospital or took any medications. But, unfortunately that time seems to be over. Recently I experienced very severe pain and went to dr which diagnosed inflamed or infected appendix. After detailed examination he told me that I would have to have appendectomy which is, as I understood, the surgical procedure. I’m really scared!!! Is apendectomy dangerous?? How high is the risk??? Please help me, and please help fast!!!

You’re right - an apendectomy is the surgical removal of an inflamed or infected appendix. Like any other surgery it has certain amount of risk included but I think that this specific procedure is quite common. Also, most of surgeons do know their job and they will do everything in their power to help you the best they can. So, don’t be too afraid – I’m sure everything will be just fine. Don’t forget to write us back after you’ve finished with it!! Good luck!!!

I was scared too when they told me I needed one. But I was out of the hospital the next day. They said it was bread and butter for the surgeons, its one of the most common surgical procedures they perform. You really shouldnt worry.
