Is beginners yoga recommended for people with arthritis?

Hello, folks. I am planning to start with yoga, but I would like to ask you something first. I have arthritis and I would like to know whether beginners yoga is recommended for people with arthritis. What do you think? Your opinion is more than welcomed. Thanks a lot for all your help, guys.

Hi, there. Beginners yoga can be good for people with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. At least, studies have shown this. This is, of course, only an addition to your standard therapy. You can't expect that yoga will cure arthritis. I also suggest consulting with your rheumatologist before you start with yoga. Yoga will help in reducing pain and disability. Of course, there are more studies to be done on this subject. I hope yoga will help you. Good luck.
