Is birth control affecting my period

I had been on birth control for a while and decided to stop this january. I stopped taking the pills and had a normal period. (even before i was on birth control my period was very regular). I had unprotected sex in the month of february and have missed my period. it is 4 days late. I took a pregnancy test a couple days ago and it was negative, but I think it might have been too early for it to detect the hormone. Is it more likely that i am pregnant or that coming off the pills has affected my period?

Both of them can affect your period..With just coming off of birth control the hormones may just being tyring to get our of your system as well....I would wait anther week and test again to see....Or at least wait till about a day or so before your next expected period....
