Heroin addiction is in my family and we are all struck by it. There are many ways and many advices we get from various people in all walks of life, but I came to the conclusion that fighting this evil with lesser evil is probably the best possible way out of that hell. Is buprenorphine effective treatment for heroin addiction?

Compared to other medications used for heroin addiction treatment (namely methadone therapy), it is less likely to cause overdose problems. You should be cautious nevertheless, because Buprenorphine interacts with different drugs and may cause problems of a different kind. Maybe the best advice would be to trust your doctor and organize the treatment of heroin addiction in accordance with him/her.
