My mother always likes to use natural medicaments and I have to admit that from time to time, she really had success in dealing with some mild conditions. Now that I have kids of my own, I would like to know how effective camphor is. Is that a medicinal plant? What is it good for exactly?
It is not a plant, but it does come from evergreen trees in Asia. It can also be produced from oil of turpentine. Whichever the case, it does have some analgesic effects so it might be used to deal with small problems like cuts, insect bites, skin irritations (from poison ivy, for example). So, I would say that you can add it to your herbal meds collection freely.
