Is childhood abuse related to Borderline Personality Disorder?

I know one girl who behaves very strange. She is girl of my really good friend. He has a lot of problems with her because she changes her mood all the time. She said that she was abuse when she was little. I think that she has Borderline Personality Disorder. Is childhood abuse related to BPD?

Yes. Recently I read some studies about Borderline Personality Disorder. I can tell you that studies show that many, but not all individuals with BPD report a history of abuse, neglect, or separation as young children. 40 to 71 percent of BPD patients report having been sexually abused, usually by a non-caregiver.
