Is combining Benedryl and Zyrtec dangerous?

Hello, folks. I have been diagnosed a chronic urticaria and my doctor suggests me combining the two antihistamines. I wonder if combining two antihistamines such as Benedryl and Zyrtec is dangerous. I am not sure in this, so I need your help. I would appreciate if anyone could reply to my question. Thanks in advance.

Hello. I think that combining two antihistamines like Benadryl and Zyrtec is not dangerous. However, you should be careful about dosing and timing. Antihistamines can have side effects. They can cause sleepiness. I suggest you not to drive motor vehicles while on these medications. You should ask your doctor about the dosage you need and when to take these meds.
