Is depression and negative thinking bad for the baby?

can being depressed cause any problems with my pregnancy? that goes for stress too. I often find myself depressed and crying about things.. it could be things that happened, things that are happening or things that are going to happen.

what could happen?

Being stressed or depressed (especially depending on the severity of your depression) can cause complications, after all a lot of health situations are related to a person's health.

Talk to your OB about your depression, Lexapro is common for a anti-depressant when given during pregnancy. It is a mood stabilizer. Often an OB will prescribe this depending on the severity of the depression.
