Is dolasetron given before or after the chemotherapy is started?

My mother has been diagnosed with the bladder cancer. Part of the affected tissue has been removed, the therapy has been continued with citostatics. He uses Cisplatin. But, since she feels very sick from this drug, has to start with Dolasetron. We all hope that this medicament will help her, so my question is is Dolasetron given before or after the chemotherapy is started?

It is usually given before chemotherapy (30 minutes before) in the form of injection or slow vein infusion. It is a drug that blocks 5HT3 receptors in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting (unwanted side effects of radiotherapy). I think that this medication will help her a lot. At least, it will relieve her from annoying symptoms of the cancer therapy.
